M: Oh, you'll LOVE Paris. The Metro stations are beautiful!
D: The Paris Metro had been undergoing a major renovation for months before we visited. Unfortunately, the station nearest our flat, Chemin Vert, was one of the last to receive attention. To be fair, a lot of the renovated stations were quite beautiful. This one, on the other hand... well, it doesn't really look any worse than the 16th & Mission BART station.
M: Yeah, our station out of Le Marais was pretty nasty, but I felt comfortable knowing where to go if I ever wanted a warm, flat, vended soda.
D: Oh, as opposed to everywhere else in Paris?
